Alphorns

The alphorn is a great example is a great example of a traditional instrument with ties to the development of brass instruments.  I found some information on alphorn:

Zsolt has a work that imitates alphorn calls on the trombone, that is pretty cool. I would post more information on it, but I don't have any (blog idea here, Zsolt...)
